'Fairy Ring Friendships' captures the essence of girlhood. As a young girl I was fascinated by fairies and fantastical elements, so I decided that I would include a bit of folk lore in this piece. It is said that fairies appear in natural fairy rings (i.e. the mushrooms) if children dance around it, afterwards the fairy then gives the children gifts.
