I’m not religious, so nuns have always seemed like distant figures to me. However, I’m intrigued by the concept of a nun’s Perpetual Vows—where she dedicates her heart and soul to Jesus, becoming His Bride for life. There’s something compelling about a marriage commitment to a conceptual being rather than a physical being. For fun, I decided to paint this feeling of joy and also paint Jesus as quite the catch. I imagined a Sister enthusiastically embracing a lifelong dedication to this dream Husband, known to radiate and inspire goodness.
