Farahzada ElShihy is an Egyptian multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work is inspired by Africa’s diverse cultures, histories, symbols, and visual traditions. A graduate of the Graphic Design program at The American University in Cairo (2018), she works across a variety of mediums, creating pieces rich in pattern, symbolism, and storytelling. She is also the founder of her own art and lifestyle brand, through which her original artworks are transformed into wearable and collectible pieces.
Through her practice, Farahzada explores themes of heritage and collective identity, with a particular focus on reconnecting Egypt to its African and tribal roots. Alongside her studio work, she has collaborated with local and international brands including Adidas, Puma, Jotun, Palma, and Inca, bringing her distinctive artistic language to projects that bridge contemporary design and cultural storytelling. Her work has also extended beyond Earth through a collaboration with Vuse, in which one of her artworks was sent into space as part of a creative campaign.
