"Free-will" is one of my pieces that began with a vibrant landscape painted in a range of captivating red hues. As I engaged in a conversation with my art, it sparked contemplation about the world we inhabit. I became keenly aware of the numerous distractions that hinder people from recognizing and acknowledging the presence of God. Despite God revealing Himself in various ways, these distractions often obscure our ability to perceive His signs.
Moreover, this artwork also explores the concept of free will bestowed upon us by God. I believe that although humanity desires freedom, there is still a longing for structure, especially when contemplating the existence of evil or the challenges present in our world. The bars depicted on the right side of the image symbolize not confinement, but rather represent the framework and guidelines provided by God to steer us in the right direction. These structures, though sometimes met with resistance, ultimately offer a path towards growth and fulfillment.
"Free-will" encourages viewers to reflect upon the delicate balance between freedom and guidance in our lives, recognizing the importance of being attentive to the divine presence amidst the distractions and embracing the structures that lead us towards a meaningful existence.
