"Psalms 30:11 & Ase" is a thought-provoking artwork that sparked many conversations within me. It combines figures from an unfinished piece called "Funga Alafia: A Welcome" and a canvas I found at a thrift store. I wanted to repurpose and integrate these elements into a new creation. Using scrap paper, I created a mountain-like shape, which reminded me of a biblical scripture about mourning. This inspired the overall concept of the artwork. To bring everything together, I added a poem that helped me find unity among the different collaged pieces. "Psalms 30:11 & Ase" invites viewers to reflect on spirituality, transformation, and the interconnectedness of diverse artistic fragments.
