Rachel spent 24 years working in biotech and software, she retired in 2022 to pursue her interests outside of work. Since then she has been active in her community as a volunteer for various organizations and is equally active pursuing the best parts of life including long walks with her dog, working in her vegetable and perrenial gardens, hiking, traveling, horseback riding, and of course oil painting.
Statement
A lifelong Maine resident, Rachel grew up on a small farm and has always enjoyed exploring nature. Her work focuses on the creative use of color and her paintings usually depict scenes of a hike with her dogs, vegetables from her garden, or the places she travels.
