MessageWesley Ethyn Bowers, also known as “WEB,” has had a diverse artistic journey, spanning two-dimensional artwork, jewellery, and music.
Wesley’s artistic journey began in their teens with graphite portraits. They experimented with various styles while also pursuing music. However, it was during the 2020 pandemic that they shifted their focus to their artwork. While in Sedona, they explored different mediums and colours, creating vibrant ink and acrylic series.
In Western North Carolina, Wesley felt a sense of freedom to fully experiment with their love for abstract and modern art forms.
Wesley’s journey into jewellery began with wire-wrapping driftwood, sea glass, abalone shells, and other repurposed materials with copper. They then moved on to stringing beaded necklaces and bracelets. While living in the Verde Valley of Arizona, they took a jewellery class that ignited their passion. Inspired by coral reef conservation efforts, they created pieces based on the patterns of sea fan coral, starting the Alloy Reef collection. After relocating to Western North Carolina, they incorporated enamelled pieces into the collection.
