When I paint, my goal is to "paint rural romance." I want the viewer to sense the magic of Montana. I want them to feel the heat of the Western sun on their back, to breathe in the openness of the endless blue skies, and embrace the nostalgia of a rusted old pickup truck.
I am happiest when I am at work in my extraordinary studio and gallery located in the 100 year old Belgrade Bank building, painting amidst the beams of Montana sunshine coming through the big picture windows and my paintings hanging on the walls. And of course, with a dog or two by my side....
