There is a quote from Lao Tzu regarding having the patience to wait for the mud to settle and the water to clear. In life, we each, inevitably, have plenty of opportunity to practice that patience, and as the water runs clear, the sediments define the pattern of a life lived. Sedimentary layers color and texture like the strata of memory: each mark a sediment, each hue a reflection of sunlight on clear water.
The work invites you to pause, to breathe, and to witness the beauty that emerges when we allow ourselves to settle and to rest.
