Ever come back to a painting years later after seeing it for the first time and the work now holds a different meaning, pulling together different emotions and thoughts. This is because when it comes to art, we don’t just see with our eyes we also see with our memories and the feelings that they bring with them.

Maybe it’s the Reticular Activating System maybe it’s our experiences over time. Either way art has a way of waking us up.

“Hunger Has A Silver Lining” one of the most symbolic paintings I have ever painted and it means something different to everyone who sees it. - O'Neil Scott
