Beginning in 1986 the artist made four backpacking trips to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, painting small watercolors and photographing. This 30 foot long acrylic painting on three canvases is the largest in the series. Painted in 1990, it depicts the North Tim and the Bright Angel fault from half way down the South Rim on the Kaibob trail.
