It's summer in the high country; in the alpine grasslands where things grow thick with padding and fur to manage the cold. Creeks of crystal clear snow melt thread their way through the thickets, snuggling deep into soft green corners and spreading wide in the clearings as though to lay in the sun and daydream.
A little further in the distance the grasses give way to eucalypt scrub where wild brumbies take shade and thick-furred wallabies graze, and an old setter's hut of greying wood blends into the trees from which it came.
Inspiration is Yarrangobilly Creek, Snowy Mountains NSW. Kosciuszko National Park.
