Where the Journey Takes Us

We are an alliance of four accomplished Northern California women painters. We are artists, teachers, writers and acute observers of the world around us. Each of us has strong ties to the Northern California landscape, and hold a specific love for our coastal areas and vulnerable waterways.

Our group includes artists Jenny Wantuch, Victoria Veedell, Sara Post and Michelle Andres. Wantuch is based in San Francisco at Hunter’s Point Shipyard and is a landscape painter with a focus on seasonal changes, bodies of water and urban landscapes. Veedell, a San Francisco resident, is known for her atmospheric landscape paintings that explore waterways and serene ponds. Sara Post’s studio, Art 26, is in Davis. She has, for many years, been a frequent visitor to Gualala and The Sea Ranch, pointing to the landscape of those areas as an ongoing source of inspiration for her artwork. Michelle Andres lives, works and keeps two working studios in the Sacramento area. Her work is abstract and most recently she is focusing on rivers. She studies at Gualala Arts Center with Sandy Ostrau and is a member of the center.
