Cows in the reparo Image: The story behind the painting ″Cows in the shelter″, narrates the care that is given to the cows by the people of the town.

Cows roam free in the mountain but, once they are called and herded, they are gathered in an open area called ″reparo″. There, they lick salt on stones, get vaccinated, and milked. People make rich cheese from this milk then wrapped in "buchicata" leaves. Otherwise known as elephant ear plant which is a large-leaved plant that grows on the banks of streams.

One day, two cows decided to rest and look at the landscape. The composition of this painting is based on perspective and duality: the contrast between black and white cows as well as the contrast of the thickness and depth of the mountain with the light and flatness of the "reparo".
