Vicki Pedersen has a passion for art which has been a constant companion throughout her life. She is an award-winning artist who focuses on painting the west – cowboys and cowgirls, Native Americans, the gorgeous landscapes and of course, horses. She works mostly in oils but loves to work in graphite and charcoal as well. She travels around the west in order to take the photo references she uses for her work.
She is a member of Women’s Artists of the West (currently serving on their board), National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society and California Art Club. She has three paintings that have either been in or have been juried into national shows in 2023 alone. Her work has been shown in Settler’s West Gallery (Tucson, AZ), Wilcox Gallery (Jackson, WY), Mary Williams Fine Art (Boulder CO), The Museum of Western Art (Kerrville, TX), Beverly McNeil Gallery (Birmingham, AL) and others.
She has studied in workshops and classes with amazing artists/instructors: Chad Poppleton, Charles Dayton, Grant Redden, Alfredo Rodriquez, William Schneider, Debra Huse, Richard Stergulz and Thomas Blackshear.
Vicki and her husband of 44 years and their dogs and birds live in Riverside, CA. They enjoy spending lots of time in Utah and Wyoming.
