  • Artist: Louie Palu (Canadian, b. 1968)

Canadian documentary photographer and filmmaker. Palu's unflinching work often focuses on political conflicts, poverty, and other complex, sociopolitical issues. As a producer, he has accomplished many film works such as "Kandahar Journals" in 2015, which was selected for the Festival Grand Prize at the Arizona International Film Festival. He has been acclaimed both national and international awards for photography and film. His works have been featured in many major news publications and exhibited at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and other museums.
