From the Emergent series, Breakthrough draws inspiration from the striking red amaryllis that bloomed in my studio. I find myself in awe of the transformation of the humble, brown bulb as it pushes its first stalk through the soil, signaling a profound emergence. In this piece, the amaryllis becomes a metaphor for our own moments of breakthrough, where we too, like the flower, break free from the confines of our previous form and emerge into a new phase of being. This work reflects the power of transformation—the quiet yet powerful shift that marks the beginning of something greater within us.
