Color Fields
In my early work, I explored the emotional resonance of color through expansive fields and minimalist compositions. Stripping away form and narrative, I sought to create spaces where color could speak for itself—shifting between presence and absence, stillness and intensity. These works were experiments in perception and feeling, inviting viewers into quiet encounters with saturation, contrast, and subtle variation. Influenced by the language of color field painting, I was less interested in representation than in evocation—using hue and surface to suggest mood, memory, and atmosphere.
Expressive Paperworks
Paintings on paper offer a versatile and sophisticated way to enhance home décor, blending artistic expression with subtle elegance. Unlike heavier canvas works, paper-based art often brings a lighter, more delicate feel to a space, making it ideal for both minimalist and richly layered interiors.
Marks & Gestures
Marks & Gestures is a spirited and energetic series drawn from an earlier body of work, characterized by powerful, expressive marks and sweeping gestures. These paintings explore a visceral connection to nature and organic elements, using dynamic movement and raw texture to evoke the rhythm and vitality of the natural world. Each mark is intentional yet instinctive, capturing a sense of immediacy and emotional resonance. The series reflects an ongoing dialogue between the physical act of painting and the elemental forces it seeks to embody.
Soft Overlay
The Soft Overlay Series explores the tension between spontaneity and structure through a playful interplay of form, color, and concealment. Using a muted palette of blush and beige, I begin each painting with instinctive marks—gestures that carry energy, joy, and a sense of unfiltered expression. These underlayers are impulsive, often whimsical, evoking childhood doodles, movement, or even fleeting emotion. Over these, I apply geometric shapes—quiet, deliberate forms that obscure, interrupt, and contain the play beneath. These structured layers create a visual push and pull, inviting viewers to look closely, to sense what’s hidden, and to question what is being quieted or protected.
Through Time
Through Time is a series that tells a story through quiet, emotionally charged moments. Each painting captures a fragment—an impression suspended in time—inviting the viewer to piece together a narrative shaped by memory and feeling. Using light, texture, and color, I explore themes of identity, change, and the passing of time. My hope is that these paintings feel familiar, like memories you can’t quite place. Each artworks speaks to the personal and the universal - the shared connection we have being human.
