MessageThe color blue dominates here, a deep blue. A blue in an infinite number of shades that originate from a photographic process: the cyanotype. Since I do not work with photographic negatives, I use the term "photogram" here. In this process, my drawings are placed on paper that has been impregnated with a light-sensitive liquid. When the work is exposed to the sun and daylight
it can turn into the different shades of blue. The whole forms a chiaroscuro that is accented by abstract shapes and lifted drawings
and in which emptiness also prevails. In fact, it is a work in which the stages are carried out in complete darkness - And in the most beautiful daylight. Thus, between the two there is the blue hour, the beginning of an evening, and the blue-pink of the dawn, which at the same time expresses the end of the night. The titles "Dream and Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Landscape by Moonlight" were chosen often for this works because of this promise of festivals, summer nights, warm and pleasant nights, nights of myths and fantasies. An allusion to Shakespeare's famous work.
Blue is for me the color par excellence, which offers so many nuances, transparencies and depths as no other color. Blue expresses eternity, the infinite space that surrounds us and is above us. It is a calm but at the same time energetic color, ideal to express our human states, dreams, feelings and desires to the surface.
