A pair of abstract sculptural forms. The base of each form is roughly square, but above the base they erupt outwards into a variety of swellings and protrusions as if they have been subjected to explosive pressure from within. The object on the right is black; the one on the left is black with touches of gold where it catches the light.
Las Vegas-based artist Sean Russell uses a range of media to explore the cultural and lived histories of landscapes and cityscapes. He has exhibited in Minneapolis, MN; Reno, NV; and locations throughout Las Vegas, including Blackbird Gallery and Donna Beam Fine Art. His murals are on permanent view in Las Vegas City Hall.
