About the Artist
Rosaline Vick is a 69-year self-taught quilter. She enjoys using her gift to create and give to others. She enjoys studying the word of God, listening to music, and shopping for antique furniture.
Rosaline Vick was born to Johnnie Mae Boone, a seamstress who provided clothing for Rosaline and her 11 siblings.
Rosaline married Anthony Vick at the young age of 19, whom she resides with in Brighton, Michigan. She has three children and nine grandchildren.
Vick has experience with following patterns to create clothes and upholstery furniture. However, she most enjoys making different colorful, unique, and ethnic quilts, aside from traditional ones.
The quilts she presents today are purposed to broadcast culture through different lenses. She used these specific colors to relax the mind and heart through joy and tranquility.
