I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia. There, I was trained as an architect, art educator, and art therapist. I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1993 and founded my art school, Talking Colors. Two years later, I began teaching art at the Rudolf Steiner Scholl of Ann Arbor.

As an artist, I enjoy working in a variety of materials. I am fascinated by the way visual art transforms the spaces we live in.
