I am not sure what drew me to the campus squirrels initially. Was it their inherent charm? Was it their rascally side coming through? Was it the way that they ran towards me, unlike most squirrels I have encountered? Was it the bond of admiring these adorable ‘campus pets’ who have memorised generations of students, faculty and staff alike? Regardless, it has become my happy task to document Ann Arbor’s most famous residents since taking my first photo back in 2008.

Over 130,000 photos later (and counting), I continue to capture the sweet charms of these campus critters every day I am on campus. Every day, I find something new and something different. Please enjoy these photographs and the many moods and looks of these most famous residents of the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor home.
