Back to the source

"The closer you can get to your setting and to primary sources, the more authentic your history is going to be." David B. Coe "La créativité deamde du courage." Henri Matisse

Returning to the source is a dance with vulnerability, an acknowledgement of the transformative power inherent in embracing one's origins. In the midst of memories and emotions, I rediscovered the raw essence that sparks my artistic passion. My encounter with black and the darkness it symbolises for me, led me to appreciate primary colors once again; with their vibrancy and vitality that I cherish.

Circle of Life

"Life is a circle. The end of one Journey is the beginning of the next." Joseph Marshall
"Ich lebe mein Leben in wachsenden Ringen, die sich über die Dinge ziehen." Rainer Maria Rilke

Symbolic of unity, wholeness, and eternity, circles evoke a sense of completeness and balance. I like to paint circles to convey harmony, continuity, and the cyclical nature of life. The absence of sharp angles in a circle gives it a gentle, harmonious quality that can evoke calmness or a sense of movement. In this sense circles allow me to explore themes of interconnectedness, cosmic order, and the eternal circle of creation and renewal. And sometimes we have to break free from a circle we are "in", explore new and crazy ones, make some explode to make space for other ones we might have not seen before. Even if it hurts and gives us internal emotional turmoil. Changes have always this sweet bitter taste ...

Flow moments: The Art of Letting Go

Created in a state of effortless focus, these works channel spontaneity into form. Bright, contrasting colors collide and harmonize, while abstract shapes tease the imagination—is that a wave? A face? A fleeting emotion?
The serie celebrates the magic of the unplanned: where intuition leads, and the canvas becomes a playground for light, energy, and joy. No overthinking—just pure, vibrant aliveness, waiting for your eyes to give it meaning.

Humans - Menschen

"I paint the world the way I like it." freely adapted from Pippi Langstrumpf

And this world is colourful, rich in contrast and diversity. Light and shadow. Different ways of being together: a multi-option community with everyday variations. In my work as a coach for personal growth with people from different cultures, different organisations, with personalities that sometimes couldn't be more different, I am constantly amazed and inspired by how versatile we humans are. And what opportunities we have in this, our society. In which so many different kinds of everyday life are conceivable and liveable.

Soulful Serendipity

Two souls meeting is a profound and mystical event, transcending the boundaries of gender, age, race, and time. When two souls are meant to meet, there is an inexplicable recognition, a deep sense of familiarity and connection. It’s as if they’ve known each other for lifetimes, even if they’ve just met. This recognition goes beyond physical appearances or spoken words; it’s felt in the heart and soul. They resonate on the same frequency, understanding each other’s thoughts and emotions without needing to explain. Their meeting is often serendipitous, occurring at just the right moment when both are ready for the encounter. The universe conspires to bring them together, orchestrating events and circumstances that lead to their paths crossing. There’s an undeniable magnetism that draws them towards each other, a feeling of being pulled by an invisible force. When they connect, time seems to stand still, and the world around them fades away. Conversations flow effortlessly, and they find solace in each other’s presence. They share a sense of purpose and a deep understanding of each other’s journey. This connection is marked by a sense of peace and completeness, as if they’ve found a missing piece of themselves. In each other, they find a reflection of their own soul, affirming that their meeting was destined and divinely orchestrated. Each pair of paintings tells a unique story of connection, reflecting the different ways two souls can complement and complete each other.

Trajectory moments

This collection reveals the ongoing dance between choice and consequence. Each painting captures those defining moments where paths converge, diverge, and transform. Life is full of decisions—some clear, some murky—that shape most aspects of who we are. From the quiet hesitation of indecision to the bold leaps of change, the series explores the emotional landscape of these choices. What drives us to act? What holds us back? And how do the threads of our decisions weave the narrative of our lives, relationships, and futures?

Transition - Dancing the colors of life

"Dancing the colors of life." I dance my emotions and intuitions when in a transition phase .... joy, sadness, lightness, uncertainty, courage and many more. They find an expression in the way I paint and in the colors I use. Being in the present, in the moment, helps me to move, to dance the colors to a music that fits the actual emotional state I am in. In this sense it allows me to be in the flow. With myself and the beautiful surroundings where I paint ... and dance.
