"The word ""Farm"" has meaning so deep in my marrow that it colors and peppers most of my days. How could it not? The morning I was born my dad ""had to milk the cows"" before he could take my mom to the hospital. The neverending life of farming. The farm informing your next move in a dance of knowing exactly who you were and what you had to do. The splendor of sweat except it didn't feel like splendor. This poem swept me along bringing smells, and farmer tans, and strong hands.
the work I am submitting is inspired by, "With nail's toughness, work pumped biceps smoothly slam baled hay to wagon bed"
and "Believing in its promise to provide, they have nurtured the land and the land has nurtured them""
