My life has enjoyed success as both a business man and a creative thinker. Today I am invested in who I am as an artist.
MessageIn 1979 I began my design career with Walt Disney Imagineering. Over the next fourteen years, I held executive roles creating EPCOT Center, Pleasure Island, Disney-MGM Studio Tour, and Euro-Disneyland. From 1984 - 1989 I held the position of Executive Director for Research and Development. From 1994 – 2000 I was Senior Vice President for Sony Development in Burbank, California, directing the design and development of global entertainment projects. I returned to Disney in 2010 as the Creative Director and Show Producer for attractions in Florida and Shanghai, China. I retired as an executive producer in 2016. Today I follow my heart, pursuing my passion for art as a personal journey.
Statement
This is a completed project titled kəˈtastrəfē, a body of work that has been in progress for the past year. While working on these images I became inspired by a meditative process of defining details. A process that lead me towards a holistic and spiritual understanding of the changes happening to our natural world. The word “catastrophe” can be defined as an event causing great and often sudden damage or suffering, or the final part of a drama in which the the plot is drawn together and matters are explained or resolved. I prefer the latter meaning. This work is available through purchase of a boxed set, limited to an edition of ten boxes with 24 framable prints. All prints in the box are signed and numbered on front, with a certificate of authenticity. In addition, collections of three prints (the Haikus) are available; signed on the back with a certificate of authenticity.
