Tomislava Mihalj was born in Slavonski Brod (Croatia) in 1972. Her love for drawing and painting existed from a young age, so even in primary school she won different prizes in different competitions. As she had always been more inclined to numbers than letters, she enrolled in the mathematics-informatics high school in Slavonski Brod, although her love for art never disapperad. In the early nineties, due to life circumstances, she enrolled and graduated from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, and moved to Zagreb, where she got a job. She soon got married and had three beautiful children.

It took her a long time to realize that art is so fulfilling to her that she need to incorporate it into her daily life in order to feel like a complete person.

In the fall of 2018, she started drawing education so that after five years of regular education, in 2023, she graduated from the Arthouse School of Drawing and Painting in Ljubljana and obtained the title of graduate painter. It was not easy for her to attend lectures, write assignments and take exams in addition to motherhood and work, but the desire and feeling of fulfillment was so great that she overcame all obstacles.

She is a big lover of nature and animals. She loves music and likes to dance. Her great love is photography, which is thanks to her father, who was engaged in photography in his spare time.

Since 2023, she have been a member of the United ArtSpace organization and a member of the Hrvatsko društvo likovnih umjetnika Zagreb since 2024. and Hrvatsko likovno društvo since 2026.
