Born at TMC, Düwel studied art in NYC before returning to the southwest and settling in the artists colony at Rancho Linda Vista. Much of her work broadly concerns the nature of perception and understanding. The paintings and drawings explore interstices—things one sees out of the corner of one’s eye, on the margins of a frame and in an instant.
