Raised in the suburbs of northern New Jersey, Galbreath moved to the American Southwest in 1997 to continue his commercial design work. Influenced by the wide open sky and saturated colors, he began painting - reveling in the opportunity to leave the flat world of his computer and manipulate real physical materials by hand again.
