Born and raised in Philadelphia, Josh Goldberg attended the Tyler School of Fine Arts and studied under Leon Golub and David Smith. Upon moving to Tucson in 1979 Goldberg became the Curator of Education at the University of Arizona Museum of Art, while continuing his fine art career. His large scale abstracts are influenced by Eastern philosophy and the natural world.
