This piece is based on a black and white photocopy of a painting by Miles G. Batt Sr., a Florida artist. Fountain "appropriated” his composition, but substituted origami “bats,” sewing supplies and ribbon, a penguin holding a favorite art pin as a shield, and other items to complete the painting.

In a book Batt wrote, he hoped someone would someday think enough of his work to parody it, and Fountain took him up on the challenge.
