This body of work, part of the Dot Project, explores recurring layers of memory and reflections on time while engaging the viewer in a playful array of light and texture, allowing for their own particular associations to come through. Distant, fragmented, childhood memories of futuristic movies and space travel; searching for the moon in the sky as the known/ unknown, but distant/ yet so close, finding comfort in the familiarity and predictability, stretching my hand thinking it is within my reach and I can touch it. Signed and dated on verso. Ready to hang on stretched canvas.
