I'm a native of Southern California but have lived in NorCal for 28 years. I went to college at the University of Arizona where I studied business. I worked in large advertising agencies in San Francisco until I went on to start my own Outdoor Advertising business in 1996. This business blossomed and was later sold to NextMedia Inc. in 2001.
Following the sell of my company I was involved with the America's Cup in both New Zealand and Spain, travelled throughout Europe and spent a lot of time in southern Italy before making my way back home. I am married and have 3 school aged children. I am a self taught artist and love every minute I'm able to be in the studio creating. When i'm not in the studio I enjoy spending time on the water, at the beach or in the desert in the sunshine.
Statement
The art that I create is inspired by what I see and an accumulation of my experiences, ideas, interests and the things I find humorous or intriguing. I am inspired by the life and style in California, pop culture, fashion, architecture and eclectic, off-beat prose. I am also often inspired by the deeper meaning is numbers, biblical numerology, gematria and quantum physics.
My early roots in advertising and being a founder of an outdoor advertising company have led me to love and lean toward creating either abstract , mixed media pieces or “statement” art that combines words, numbers, images and bold color. I'm a Cancer with my moon in Leo, an extroverted introvert, I enjoy parody song writing. I have a love of leather and blue jeans and wear my watch on my right wrist.
