In early 2018 whilst on holiday in Cooloongatta, I came across a bush turkey happily sitting high in a pandanas palm... I must be the only person in Queensland that didn't realise that bush turkeys can fly and land in trees. I quickly snapped a few photos and 'Bush Turkey amongst the Pandanas' was inspired by these images. The tangle of colours represent the fronds in the trees, other foliage plus the sky and sea in the background.
