Blue Lava Flow

How are you feeling today? Are you happy or down in the dumps? Or, maybe you have a touch of moodiness... that is what this artwork screams to me - moody.

The dark blues in this deliberately limited coloured artwork, are intense indigos mixed with a slightly darker deep turquoise. The blending effect of the colours has created some beautiful patterns (as seen in the close-ups).

These blues are offset with some chalky beige, very soft lilac with a touch of peach. The intricate white details over the top add make the eye 'flow' around the artwork.

This artwork would suit someone looking for a contemporary painting to suit a modern home or office. It is a textural statement piece that would sit comfortably on your wall and blend into its surroundings. It isn't a loud piece, instead, it is peaceful and serene.

• 3 coats of Titanium White Acrylic Primed Gesso
• New Zealand Pine Kiln Dried Stretcher Bars 35mm deep
• Gallery stretched for painting on the canvas edge
• Double stapled on the back of the stretcher

The paint I use is also artist quality and the artwork is protected with 2 coats of Liquitex Semi-Gloss Varnish.
