I'm inspired by people globally facing adversity and rebuilding their lives after natural disasters. It's truly inspiring! In this piece, I highlight the challenges of injury and disability, common consequences for many survivors. Initially, survival takes precedence over physical injuries. Yet, over time, some injuries have lasting effects, impacting people's futures. In this phase, new emotions about surviving the disaster arise, making the need for acceptance and courage a lifelong journey.
