Lisbet Tellefsen is an Oakland, California-based collector, consultant and dealer in archives & collections. Her personal archives and collections focus on late 20th century political African Americana with specializations including the Angela Davis, Black Panther Party, the Young Lords, BIPOC LGBTQ+ culture & history, and political graphics. As an archival consultant, she has worked on numerous film and television projects including the 2012 documentary “Free Angela and All Political Prisoners” by Realside Productions, and the 2015 documentary “Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution” by Firelight Films.

Her archives are frequently used for film/media projects, research and exhibits including ESSEX HEMPHILL: TAKE CARE OF YOUR BLESSINGS at The Phillips Collection in Washington D.C. (2025); ANGELA DAVIS: SEIZE THE TIME at the Zimmerli Art Museum and Oakland Museum of CA (2021-2023); ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE: BLACK PANTHERS @ 50 at the Oakland Museum of CA (2016); GET WITH THE ACTION: Political Posters from the 1960s to Present at SFMOMA (2017-18); in addition to contributing a dozen pieces to the 2016 inaugural exhibit of the Smithsonian Nat'l.
