"Reduced Landscapes, Sun" is a dynamic light sculpture that depicts the radiant sunlight as it transitions into another state of being. Similar to nature, the artwork's light changes its appearance based on perspective and ambient light; the same state is never repeated. Optical materials and lighting are used to create a sense of depth and provide a different view of the piece depending on the angle of viewing. The artwork is enclosed in a handcrafted lace wood frame and protected by glass. This piece is part of Maja Petric's "Reduced Landscapes" series and serves as a precursor to the work she is preparing for the solo show "Specimens of Time" that will open at The Vestibule in November 2024.
