Message
Karey Kessler (b. 1974) earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and her MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She is a member of Shift Gallery (Seattle, WA). Her work is in the flat files of Pierogi Gallery (NYC) and the White Columns Gallery registry (NYC). Her art is included in The Map as Art (Princeton Architectural Press, 2009) by Kitty Harmon; The Embodied Forest (ecoartspace, 2021); Orion Magazine (2021), and Dovetail Magazine (2023). Kessler has shown widely, including exhibits at the Weatherspoon Art Museum (NC), the Katonah Art Museum (NY) and Hunter College (NYC). She has participated in residencies including The SciArt Bridge Residency for cross-disciplinary collaboration, the Vermont Studio Center and Willapa Bay AIR. In 2022 Meta Open Arts commissioned her to create a mural at Meta Reality Labs (Redmond, WA). She recently had a solo show at The San Juan Islands Art Museum in fall 2024.
