EDUCATION
San Diego State University, 1982
Gestural abstraction that is lively, joyful and
free spirited.
Working with ink, charcoal, oil sticks, acrylic
and pencil, she evokes subliminal
feelings about the imagery through depth, line
and color relationships.
Her work is personal with surprising outcomes
and an ever changing story line.
A very physical process, applying layer after
layer to achieve sumptuous color and textured
surfaces.
Always experimenting with new methods, tools
and materials.
Her work is in corporate collections
and is collected nationally and internationally.
Artists that inspire Theresa are Joan Mitchell,
William de Kooning and Nicolas de Stael.
