Item description: Tower on Wheels was created by Jim McCormick while he was on sabbatical leave from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1969. He worked for six months at Bob Blackburn’s Printmaking Workshop on West 23rd Street in New York City. He employed cardboard for his plates, and affixed various relief elements to the plates (masking tape, string, glue, etc.) to achieve these intaglio effects.
