Print made from a paper negative on Dassonville 'D'. Final print developed in Dassonville D-1, somewhat diluted in order to decrease contrast. Print was toned in a modified redevelopment formula. Print was bleached and then redeveloped in D-72, diluted 20 to 1, until almost fully developed. Development completed in a sodium sulphide redevelopment bath.

Picture made in the mountains near Ruidosa, New Mexico. Super XX film was exposed in a Zeiss Juwel, using an f4.5 Tessar lens. Pan-Ortho #1 filter used. This negative was developed in Edwald 12, diluted 9 to 1 for normal contrast. Most of negative was used for this print.

Both dia-positive and paper negative were made on Dassonville 'F', both developed in dilute D-72. Some small amount of work was done on both positive and negative but no radical changes were made. Two thicknesses of ground celluloid were placed between the paper negative and final printing paper in order to diffuse the rather sharp detail in the foreground.
