In this painting, one of the bottles reads, “Rosebud,” which is a reference to Charles Foster Kane’s childhood sled in Citizen Kane.

There is a personal reason David painted these two. One of our years on Sanibel, Mother Nature was out of balance, and there were rabbits everywhere.
