There is a story behind every image, and behind the story, even a larger tale of the artist himself. I’ve always been consumed with a passion for art. Although I never received any formal training as an artist, I spent countless hours practicing and refining my craft. As any person who has pursued a lifelong dream will tell you, the early days were not easy. I can now fondly recall the times I had no canvas and was forced to paint on the backs of album covers, or my monochromatic series that evolved because I could only afford three tubes of paint.
My style has been described as “Realism with a Magical Touch.”
I paint a variety of subject matter. I love to capture wildlife in intimate, poetic moments usually unseen by human eyes. My landscapes are designed to transport the viewer to another world and invite them to explore the story of their surroundings. I have the most fun painting zany observations of wildlife that have invaded human spaces when the family has left for their vacation.
I will succeed in my goal if my paintings entice all art lovers to come away with me.
