When I was a child, I would go visit my grandmother in rural Virginia. On country drives, the lanes and fields would be full of what we called Raggedy Robin (wild chicory) and Queen Anne’s Lace. I loved these wildflowers so much, especially that gorgeous blue of the unpretentious and wild Raggedy Robin. I always thought there would be nothing more beautiful than a bride’s bouquet of Raggedy Robin and Queen Anne’s Lace.
