"Bright Expectation" is part of my limited Marina Scapes series, created from multiple plein air painting sessions at Washington Sailing Marina, and from memory.

I love big swatches of color in the bottom portion of the painting and the whites that skip over the color further towards the middle. I almost feel that the brilliant whites make you squint and give the illusion of a very bright day.
