Meet Shelton Hawkins, the Creative Director behind Play In Color and Digital Creator for Project Blackboard! With over 70 stunningly designed basketball courts across the nation and around the world!

Shelton’s vision is to continue to create inspiring and beautiful basketball courts that will draw their own audiences, and bring kids back onto courts in parks every day with regular basketball youth clinics onsite. He intends to build more of these courts, with teams of neighbors and friends, partnering with local communities.

My aesthetic as an artist has always been abstract and vibrant, characterized by a wide range of colors. I wanted to keep that going. But for me, it was more about creating a safe environment for people of all races, colors, and genders to feel comfortable playing basketball.
