Artist: Ancizar Marin
Born in Colombia, Ancizar Marin began his formal art education in the 1980s at the Bellas Artes Institute in Manizales. He later advanced his sculptural skills at the Luccio Petraglia School of Art in Bogotá, where he refined his techniques working with bronze and steel. His travels throughout South America exposed him to a rich tapestry of cultural influences, which deeply shaped his artistic approach to color, form, and texture. Now based in South Florida, Marin’s work has garnered attention in design publications, prestigious gallery exhibitions, art fairs, and an expanding number of private commissions.
Marin is best known for his distinctive, collectible wall-mounted figurative sculptures—dynamic climbers that are designed to be displayed in groups. This modular approach invites collectors to curate personalized arrangements, allowing the figures to interact in ever-changing compositions. Whether crouching, leaping, lunging, stretching, or striking balletic poses, each figure casts dramatic shadows that activate the space around them, transforming walls into immersive, kinetic installations that go far beyond the sum of their parts.

Each sculpture is signed by the artist. Artwork by Ancizar Marin features mixed media sculptures of climbing men who hang elegantly from a wire attached to the wall. Each piece is crafted from volcanic rock, metal, fiberglass, and automotive paints and is entirely one of a kind. No two of these sculptures are exactly alike.
