Metal sculptor and Penn College welding instructor Michael Patterson worked with students in 2013 - 2014 to create an installation of life-size, abstract human forms. The welding students coupled their manual skills with their creative energy in the fabrication of the sculptures, a collaboration of technology and art. The sculptures are made of scrap metal from the welding shop, and the forms appear on the grassy plots of the pedestrian mall on campus, running from West Third Street to the Breuder Advanced Technology & Health Sciences Center (ATHS).
