This bowl was created by artist Nancee Meeker. The bowl was wheel thrown and wood fired. The exterior used something called terra sigillata, also known as using a highly refined clay slip to created a polished look, rather than using glaze. The bowl contains geometric leaf designs across the surface. The bowl contains a small base where the artist inscribed her last name as a signature.
